65 Leaders Mapping the Future of AI in London
Inside the AI & Automation Conference — an exclusive gathering of elite data and AI leaders from EasyJet, Centrica, Schroders, and more.

In the world of artificial intelligence, true value is found in deep, specialised dialogue rather than media hype. On February 25, 2026, I had the privilege of attending one of the most exclusive AI gatherings in London — the AI & Automation: Efficient Business Operations conference.
With attendance strictly limited to 65 elite data and AI leaders from global organisations, this was an unparalleled environment for discussing Operational AI and process automation at the highest level.
Quality Over Noise
Beyond the noise of large-scale conferences, this was a room where every conversation carried strategic weight. Twenty-five brand speakers shared insights on the practical realities of deploying AI at scale — not theoretical possibilities, but operational challenges and proven solutions.
It was an honour to present as an official speaker and to exchange strategic insights with some of the minds defining this era. I also had the privilege of sharing signed copies of my book, AI for Next-Generation Entrepreneurs, with leaders whose work directly shapes the future of AI in business.
Leaders at the Table
Richard Lawrence — Head of Service Excellence at EasyJet. Discussed automating the customer-centric frontier and how AI transforms passenger experience at scale.
Sarah Jafri — Group Data Management Manager at Centrica. Shared invaluable perspectives on data governance in energy infrastructure.
Dan Scott — Data Leadership & Innovation Expert at Navartis. Explored closing the "expectation gap" in enterprise technology adoption.
Peter Jackson — Global Head of Data Office at Schroders. Unable to attend due to health reasons; a signed copy of the book awaits his return.
Key Themes
The discussions at this conference centred on the practical realities of deploying AI in enterprise environments. Three themes dominated the conversations:
Decision Layers
How organisations structure AI decision-making across different levels of authority and risk.
AI Liability
The emerging legal and governance frameworks around AI-driven decisions in regulated industries.
Operational AI
Moving beyond proof-of-concept to production-grade AI that runs critical business operations.
The Cognitive Connection
The discussions on Decision Layers and AI liability are closely aligned with the research for my upcoming book, The Cognitive City. As cities in the Middle East and beyond shift from "Smart" to "Cognitive," integrating these global engineering insights into cross-border operations will make regional AI visions a functional reality.
"The journey of redefining leadership through AI continues. Proud to be part of this high-impact global network."
— Hussein Ameen
